A Gift Well Worth the Wait…
DONATION UPDATE: The basic cost has been raised which includes Windsor’s purchase, training til 9 months of age, service dog equipment, and medical. I’m so grateful and am enjoying him since he arrived at the end of March 2010. Any additional funds donated will be applied to the next year as Windsor and I receiving more training, to the cost of recertification, to medical costs, to food, and to custom made materials – mobility harness, vests, patches, leashes, collars, etc. (See note below video as to the reason for higher equipment costs due to my special needs.)
This video is my “THANK YOU” to EVERYONE who helped to make this dream come true – praying, donating financially, sending notes/emails/Facebook filled with ”keep the faith” encouragement! After waiting over a year for a service dog, here are pictures of us meeting and video training clips worth a 1,000 words…
Windsor’s equipment costs are higher because of my special needs. With materials made from chemicals (polyester, nylon, rayon, etc.) or difficulty with certain metals, I stop breathing and my brain short circuits causing great physical stress. For me to breathe and decrease my short circuits, ALL of Windsor’s equipment must be made from natural materials – cotton, cotton thread, vegetable dyed leather, sheepskin, etc. Windsor’s equipment includes specialty collars, a variety of service dog leashes for my mobility assistance, vests, patches, harnesses, etc. Many of his toys must be made from only natural materials to pass my “breathing” test so that I can play with him when he isn’t working.
If you would like to help offset any of Windsor’s costs, Windsor and I would be so grateful.
Donations can be made through PayPal or by sending a check through the mail.
ONLINE – If you already have a Paypal account:
1. Go to Paypal.com and log-in with your username and password.
2. Click on the “Send Money” tab.
3. Fill-in the form: To: hopeforchristy@gmail.com, whatever “amount” you wish to send, and click the “Personal” tab to indicate this as a gift.
4. Click “Continue.” Then click “Send Money.”
ONLINE – If you do not have a Paypal account:
1. Go to Paypal.com.

Christy, I love your Big Buddies video! It is so inspiring to she how far you have come. I know you must feel very blessed, and YOU are a blessing to us! Isnt it wonderful how the Lord has created animals like horses and dogs (our two favorites!) to help us? keep on trusting Jesus and doing all that He is giving you strength to do. We love you too!
